OUR JOURNEY

It all started when the whole world was under global emergency. We were all busy watching movies and TV shows on the OTT platform like Hotstar, Netflix..etc. But at the same time, we(Jeetender & I) also started reading books & implementing the learnings from those books and Indian mythology in our personal life. As a part of consistent application of those learnings, we got inclined towards spirituality from a scientific perspective. Given the same, we went through the wisdom in the ancient spiritual texts and tried to learn them but we were consistently facing problems in learning, understanding & reciting what was written in these texts.
Only a few people are inclined towards reading and implementing the wisdom recited in the religious scriptures. Out of these, some people start but do not continue with their spiritual journey because it is not so easy to comprehend the wisdom that is imparted through these texts so they eventually become disinterested to continue. And getting distracted in today’s world is easy with Social media eating up your time.
In one of the casual conversations between us, I remember it was around 2 AM in the month of April 2020 and we were discussing about this issue and we concluded that if we are facing this issue, then everyone else who was on this path must also be facing the same issue. Then, we started looking out ‘if there was any application on the Playstore/Appstore that could help us understand and learn these religious scriptures’.
During our research, though we found a few of the applications but the content there was quite different and not giving a holistic view. Therefore, we decided to develop an application which would address these issues and would be helpful for current and future generations in their spiritual journey.
- What content will the app contain?
- What features should the app have?
- What should be the name of the App?
- How much will it cost to convert this idea to an application?
- How much time will it take?
- What should be the logo?
- Whom should we approach?
- Who will develop the app?
- Where will we get content from?
- Whom should we get the voice recorded from? and many more questions.
- Going forward how can we make this app self-sustainable?
Answering each of these questions had its own learning and experience. But to cut the long journey short we would say, ‘the path to mine diamond goes through the hard rocks on its mining journey.’
Finally after refining the content multiple times, changing 4 app developers, constantly increasing our budgets, changing voice artists, talking to various people, reviewing the content/app regularly, making multiple mistakes ..etc. Here we are with our 1st version of JINVANI Application being released on April 14, 2022 on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti after 2 years (i.e. 2 years from April 2020).
To conclude, what do we expect from the users of this application?
Do we expect monetary consideration for using the application? – NO
Then, what is expected?
There is only one request i.e.,
Users learn about Jainism.
